Abstract :
Incentives, which are among the most important application tools of general economic policy, aim at guiding the economic units to particular behaviors. In this context, for the purposes such as increasing the production and employment through raising investment volume, ensuring sectoral development, developing less developed regions etc., investment incentives are frequently used not only in developing but also developed countries. Also in Turkey, some activities in order to accelerate economic development are encouraged. Especially socio-economic development disparities between regions of the country are very important to our size, sector basis, as prescribed in addition to the general incentives, incentive measures for some regions are more advantageous to make. The aim of this study is to analyze the status of the firms that benefit from investment incentives operating in various sectors in Tokat. In this paper, first, in terms of regional development, by providing information about incentives to an application in Tokat and then, findings derived from surveys have evaluated by statistical analysis. The relationships between legal structure of the firm, its operating period and being registered to the chambers of craftsmen were found as statistically significant. It has been determined that the age, education, gender and exportation of the firm do not affect benefiting from incentives.
