  • Abstract
    The study aimed comparing the effectiveness and efficiency of constant- time delay and most-to-least prompts procedures in teaching daily living skills to children with mental retardation. The design was adapted alternating treatment design. The findings showed that both procedures were equally effective in teaching the skills. Howewer, constant-time delay procedure was more efficient than most-to-least prompt procedure in terms of total training time and number of trials; most-to-least prompt procedure was more efficient than constant-time delay procedure in terms of training errors. Both stragies in maintanence and generalization at the daily living skills were found to have similar effectiveness.
