Abstract :
This is a descriptive case study aiming to determine the ties between prospective teachers’ strategies of using textbooks in reading comprehension and their academic achievements. It is a qualitative study and employs such methods of data collection as document examination and achievement tests. And in the process of document examination, semi-structured book evaluation forms have been used whereas achievement tests have been used in determining the level of achievement. Consequently, a positive low correlation has been found between the level of prospective teachers’ use of comprehension strategies and their academic achievement.
