Abstract :
The research shows that students’ view directed towards to teaching professionplays an important role on howto be a teacher in the future and has an important effect on students the aim is determining and comparingstudents’ views directed towards to teaching professionand this research has been done on the student’s thatattend different departments of education faculty. In this research, survey has been used on the range ofdescriptive method. Datum has been obtained by applying the measure of view directed towards teachingprofession, to 245 students (132 girls, 113 boys) that attend different departments of education faculty(Elementary Mathematics Teacher, Computer Education and Instructional Technology Teacher, TurkishTeacher, English Teacher, Social Studies Teacher) in Mehmet Akif Ersoy University in 2009-2010 academicyear The answer that students have been given to measure form, have been analyzed by benefiting form programof SPSS 17.0. According to analysis’ that have been done; it is understood that in teacher applicants’ viewsdirected towards teaching shows difference interms of sex, reasons of selection to being a teacher and theirmothers’ or fathers’ job and high schools they attended their kinds of high school. According to these findingsthat have been obtained student of girl’s view directed towards to teaching proffession is more positive thanboys’ this result supports a common understanding of being the teaching professionis more appropriate forwomen. In addition to this; a person who selects being a teacher to grow up himself /herself shows more positiveattitude to professional teacher than a person who selects for being compelled. Furthermore, children whosemothers have graduated from primary school have more positive attitude than children whose mothers havegraduated from high school.
