Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of inquiry-based learning method compared toverification method on conceptual change and perceptions of science and ways of learning science.The samples of study, where pre-test-post-test control group design was employed, consisted of 38prospective teachers attending Analytical Chemistry Laboratory-II in Gazi Faculty of Education.The treatment was executed during 7 weeks. Furthermore a measurement instrument applied toboth groups in the middle and at the end of the treatments to monitor them. The data were analyzedthrough ANCOVA, t-test, and percentage and frequency value. The results of statistical analysisindicated that inquiry-based learning method meaningfully contributed on students concept changeand perceptions of science and the ways of learning of science.
