Atatürk’s Opinions About Religious Education
Abstract :
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is the leading and most popular figure of Turkish history in terms of his personality, reforms and marks he left. His views on religious education have been commented and discussed for years. However, it is clearly seen that some of these comments are full of misunderstandings which cannot be complied with reality. In this study, we will try to assert his point of view on religious education with examples from his life, and sayings about religious education. Besides, we aim to contribute to the truly understanding of this subject thanks to obvious implications of his sayings told for various reasons.
