THE INVESTIGATION OF SPEECH ANXIETY OF SECONDERY SCHOOL STUDENTS ACCORDING TO SOME VARIABLES

This study aims to investigate the speech anxiety of secondery school students according to some variables. Survey method was used in the work. The study carried out on 389 secondery school students selected with random sampling method. The data were collected through the “The Speech Anxiety Scale” that prepared Sevim (2012). Independent groups t-test and ANOVA test techniques were used to data analysis which was obtained by this study. At the end of the study it was understood that secondery school students’ speech anxiety haven’t shown a significant difference according to level of class and type of school; their speech anxiety have shown a significant difference according to gender, attitudes of Turkish and literature course.
