Determination of Pre-Service Science Teachers’ Knowledge Level About Global Warming

The main purpose of this research is to determine of pre-service science teachers’ knowledge level about global warming. Survey method one of the quantitative research methods was used in this research. Population of this research consist of undergraduate students, who have been studying in a public university, department of elementary school teaching, science teaching program. During research, data was gathered via closed-form likert type questionnaire developed by the researcher. In this research two samples have been built up via cluster sampling method. Questionnaire’s validity and reliability studies were carried out with the first sample, which consist of 328 pre-service science teachers. Then the application of the questionnaire was carried out with the second sample, which consists of 271 pre-service science teachers. According to the results pre-service science teachers’ knowledge level about global warming is above average but they have lack of knowledge about some issues.
