Abstract :
The true prevalence of the lung cysts in Down syndrome patients is greater than has been estimated. These cysts were not easily defined and rarely reported in Down syndrome. In this article we presented a 16-month old girl with Down syndrome who had cystic lung disease. The cystic lung disease in our patient was diagnosed by CT imaging of the chest for the evaluation of bilateral infiltrations in her plain radiograph, although she had no symptoms of lung infection. Since the association of Down syndrome with subpleural lung cysts was not a well known subject, we aimed to call attention to the incidence of cystic lung disease in Down syndrome.
