Investigating Turkish Republic Revolution History and Kemalism Teacher Attitude toward Using Newspaper in the Class in Term of Some Variable

The aim of the study is to determine by variables newspaper usage in the 8th grade Turkish Republic Revolution History and Kemalism lesson and instructors’ interesting attitudes about newspaper usage. Research samples are composed of 440 instructors working in the center of Ankara and lecturing this lesson. The research was carried out according to a descriptive scanning (survey) model. A survey as five point likert scale was implemented on the instructors in accordance with the aim of the study. Standard deviation, t test and Anova tests were used for data analysis. Instructors’ beliefs and attitudes about newspaper usage in this course are generally positive. Suggestions have been presented in the light of the research data. Significant differences were found according to their schools and year of experience variables. Teachers teaching at private schools showed more positive beliefs on the use of newspaper in the class when compared to the teachers teaching state schools, also there is a significant difference in favor of teachers with 6-10 years of experience. It can be said that this result may stem from private schools have more physical opportunities than state schools.
