Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to analyze the correlation between perceived social skills, power bases and ethical leadership with affective commitment of teachers in primary schools.Totaly 495 teachers chosen by the random method, who work in 36 state primary schools in Ankara in 2013-2014 school year, constitute participants of the research. The data were collected using a “Social Skill Scale”, a “Power Bases Scale” , an “Ethical Leadership Scale” and “Affective Commitment Scale”. In the analyses of the data, means, standart deviation, Pearson Moments Product Correlation Coefficient and Regression Analysis were used. The results mainly showed that perceived social skills, ethical leadership ,referent power, expert power, legitimate power and reward power are positively associated with affective commitment of teachers. There is not a significant relationship between coercive power and affective commitment.
