Change Management Competencies of Human Resource Professionals: An Evaluation on the Context of Change Champions
Abstract :
Human resource professionals need change management competencies to achieve their role related with change management. If human resource professionals have competencies to manage change they can help members of organization manage change. Studies show that impact of change management competencies decreases but this competency category continues to remain as a core competency of human resource professionals. “Change champion” is a metaphor used to explain core competency category in change management. Human resource professionals can become change champions as if they can apply their competencies at the individual,initiative and institutional levels to get change started and be persistent at sustaining change.
