Analysis of the “4+4+4” Education System’s Positive and Negative Effects on the School Partners according to the Opinions of Administrator
Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to describe the positive and negative effects of the new educational system, put into practice on 2013-2014 school year, on students, parents, teachers and administrators on the basis of the administrators own opinions. This is a qualitative study in which the exception pattern is used. The study group comprises of 18 administrators serving in the province of Sivas. The data collected through open-ended questions were analysed by using descriptive analysis, content analysis and analysis method. The research findings are discussed under three themes, including the opinions of the administrators about the 4+4+4 education system, the positive effects and the negative effects of the 4+4+4 educational system. Despite the fact that the administrators have an overall positive assessment about new educational system, in accordance with the opinions of the administrators, 30 positive and 34 negative sub-categories has been reached in all school partners.
