  • Abstract
    Environmentally friendly, non-polluting, non-destructive to natural resources or recyclable products are called as green products. The green products features can be summarized as; not being hazardous to health, not damaging the environment throughout its life cycle, not consuming excessive amounts of energy, not containing harmful materials to the environment. Conscious consumers can ensure the protection of natural resources and the reduction of environmental damage by their choices. The desire of consumers to purchase green products has caused changes in manufacturing and marketing activities. Therefore, examining “the green purchasing behavior” of young consumers is particularly important in determining the business of marketing and packaging operations. In this study, the green purchasing behaviors of undergraduate and graduate students in the University of Gaziantep (total of 380 participants) is analyzed to detect consumer profiles. According to the results, there is a statistically significant relationship between demographic characteristics and green purchasing behavior of consumers.
