Food dependent exercise-induced anaphylaxis: a case report
شماره ركورد :

Abstract :
Food dependent exercise induced anaphylaxis is a rare but potentially fatal disorder where a food-intake alone does not induce any symptoms. Symptoms reveal typically generalized urticarial plaques and severe allergic reactions such as shock or hypotension. The most frequent causative food is wheat and omega-5-gliadin is known to represent a major causative allergen. The diagnosis of food dependent exercise induced anaphylaxis is established by skin prick test or spesific IgE antibodies assay against food allergens. In this case report, we present a case of wheat dependent exercise-induced anaphylaxis that occurred in a 39-year-old man.
