Abstract :
Bronchoesophageal fistula (BEF) is extremely rare in adults. It is generally diagnosed in the neonatal period. We present 57-year-old woman operated because of congenital BEF. The patient admitted with bouts of cough after ingestion. Her barium esophagogram demonstrated a fistula between the esophagus and right intermediate bronchus. The patient was diagnosed as congenital BEF. Because she had the compliant in her all life period and she had no disease as a cause of fistula. The fistula was divided after right thoracotomy. The patient had an uneventful recovery.
