Abstract :
World Health Organization (WHO) defines violence as “the intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against oneself, another person, or against a group or community that either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, maldevelopment, or deprivation”. Domestic violence is a term covering violence to children, elder people and women especially intimate partner violence. Domestic violence is a significant public health problem both at developed and developing countries. Violence toward women is a very important issue in the world globally. In this article violence is going to be defined and classified according to the actions and the assailants and the victims.
