Abstract
The aim of this study is to provide a critical evaluation to titles and abstracts of the master theses in the field of Turkish Language Education. In the study, “general screening model” which is one of the descriptive screening methods is used. The research group consisted of 128 master theses in the field of Turkish Language Education. The research data were collected according to the generally criteria accepted by the scientific world. Analysis of the data obtained from research was used frequency and percentage. At the end of the study it was seen that titles of the master theses are sufficient in terms of generally accepted criteria; abstracts of the master theses are inadequate except for the purposes.
