Abstract :
This study aims to develop a scale to measure the attitudes of university students toward Turkish Language course in first level. The data have been collected from total 331 university students taking Turkish Language course. In the study, seven analysis (Cronbach Alpha coefficient, Kaiser-Meyer Olkin, Barlett’s Test of Sphericity analysis, Scree Plot graphic, Factor analysis, Correlation analysis, t test) were conducted. As a result of the studies, Item Total point correlations of all items were found to be p 0.01, which is significant, the Cronbach Alpha coefficient was found as 0.96 and factor load of all items was over 0.60 and that t-values of the scale pertaining to distinctive feature of the scale were all found significant. In line with all those findings, it is concluded that the latest version of the scale is valid and reliable and that it can be used to determine the students’ attitudes towards Turkish Language course.
