  • Abstract
In this research, the root of Kyrgyz and their religious beliefs are expressed. Within this context, it is underlined that Kyrgyz are the same in terms of ancestry with other Turkish ancestors that spread to a wide geography and have a common background. As a matter of fact, many Turkish ancestors have cults such as plant, saint and victim, totem names existing in Kyrgyz. These beliefs are spread from Anatolia to the Balkans with Seljuk conquests and Mongol invasions. Presenting union in belief for Turks who have a common background is an important issue, which has to be underlined in reference books within the context of “Turkish World Citizenship”. This issue will also provide an important contribution to the development of Turkish culture union.
