  • Abstract
The present study was conducted through document analysis design in terms of the way the bear character is fictionalized in children’s books and the messages given. The data were collected in two phases. First, the relevant resources were collected then exposed to originality confirmation. Secondly, semi-structured interviews were realized with children in order to find out their views on bear character in fictional books. The data were descriptively analyzed then content analysis was completed. To ensure reliability and validity of the study, precautions were taken from the very beginning of data collection until their analysis. The results show that despite certain frailties, the bear is represented as cute, well-disposed and harmless. In addition, it was seen that the bear has goodwill based relations with mother, friends and other entities around but cannot communicate with man and avoid violence committed by human-being.
