Abstract :
The grammatical expression of negativity, which is a conceptual phenomenon, is realized with many affixes (+sIz, -mAdAn...) and words (yok, değil...), especially with negativity suffix -mA. There are also various grammatical elements that, together with their various functions, trigger and inform about negativity as well as these affixes and words which commonly meet the negativity. her ne kadar .... –sA/(i)sA (dA) form, which is predominantly the linking function, is a good example of these different elements. her ne kadar .... –sA/(i)sA (dA) form, which can be used as a semantic antecedent of negativity and trigger function, is a noteworthy use in that it informs us that at least one of the following elements has -conceptual or structural- negativity, while not taking negativity on directly. In this article, the formation of her ne kadar .... –sA/(i)sA (dA) form, its historical development and its usage as negation trigger have been tried to be revealed in the light of prefixes identified from Anatolian Dialects and various literary works of Turkish Literature.
