PROBLEMS FACED IN EXPORT OF VEGETATIVE PRODUCTS IN CITY OF MANİSA AND SOLUTION SUGGESTIONS

Turkey annual export amount increased 4 times in last 10 years and reached to 152 billion USD. At the same period the export amount of city of Manisa increased more than 10 times and exceeded 4 billion USD. Majority of the 429 exporter companies in the city are agricultural products processing companies and companies producing white goods and electronic materials. The purpose of the study is to seek an answer to the question “What are the problems faced in the export of vegetative products in city of Manisa and what are the solution suggestions?” In order to achieve this, opinions of 51 people were asked consisting of responsible of the product processing facilities and exporter companies as well as state officials who are responsible from the export procedures. For obtaining data in the research, a survey configured by the serial rating (scaling) technique and interview technique was used. The ideas of officials about export were determined and solution suggestions were made for the problems faced in the export of the vegetative products.
