Materials and methods: The patients between the ages of 0 and 15 who have applied for circumcission in the urology clinic are included in this paper for the 22 months period between 18th of August 2010 and 18th of June 2012. With the help of Hospital Data Management System, the data are evaluated by scanning the ICD-10 codes of the patients. The demographic data and the processes are analyzed. Results: During the 22 months of data evaluation period, 5779 patients made 10173 applications. 573 (9.91%) of the patients are between the ages of 0 and 5 and have made 818 applications. 426 (67.36%) of these patients are male and 187 (32.63%) are female. Inside the age group that is evaluated, most common application reasons were ordered as circumcision demand (184 cases, 32.1%), renal colic (103, 18.0%) and urinary tract infection (96 cases, 16.7%). The average age for those applications was 6+3.51 (min: 1; max: 14). Among circumcisions, 70 (94.6%) of the cases were religious-cultural and 4 (5.4%) of the cases were medical-cure reasons. Following the circumcision operations, bleeding (2 patients, 1.1%) and infection (2 patients, 1.1%) are monitored as most common circumstances. Conclusion: Circumcision is an operation process that is safely applied in periphery hospitals. However, one should be attentive and exquisite regarding the operational complications.
