Abstract :
Behcet disease is a chronic,systemic inflammatory disease which is seldom seen in childhood. Behcet disease is the only vasculitis that can affect arteries and venules in all sizes. Thrombosis may occur in venules due to inflammation and likewise aneurysm, thrombosis or stenosis may occur in arteries. More rarely,intracardiac thrombosis can be observed. These rare complications of Behcet disease are very important in determining morbidity and mortality and they should be recognized and treated as soon as possible. This article provides information about how we managed a child with Behcet disease suffering from intracardiac thrombosis.
