Abstract :
These studies were conducted both in a modern glasshouse in Antalya and in a climate room at Department of Plant Protection, Ege University in 2008. Effectiveness of two different application programs on root rot disease were evaluated with compare to those ones in control group in situ in greenhouse and with artificially infected medium in climate room. In both trials, cocopeat slabs were used as growing medium. In the result of both two trails; the first appliaction program [Mycorrhizal fungi + (HarpinEa + H2O2+Ag^++)] had the highest efficacy followed with the second application program [Trichoderma virens GL- 21+(HarpinEa+ H2O2+Ag^++)] compared with untreatred ones. No phytotoxicity were observed from any application programs on tomato plants. Eventough plant activators, biological agents and disinfectants are not effective as much as chemicals, they are environmental friendly products with no residue risks and no negative effects on non-target organisms. Therefore, it was concluded that they could be used in the application programs as mixed with fungicides and/or as alternatives to the fungicides.
