Effects of different sowing dates on the seed yield and some other agronomical characteristics of pea (Pisum sativum L.)
Abstract :
This study was conducted in experimental fields of Odemis Vocational Training School, of Ege University during three years, between 2005-2008, in order to determine the effects of different sowing dates (26 Oct., 9 Nov., 22 Nov., 6 Dec., 25 Dec.) on the seed yield and some other yield characteristics of pea varieties (Durango and Utrillo). Average results of three yrs indicated that, there were significant differences between sowing dates and pea cultivars in terms of seed yields and yield components, the highest seed yields obtained from at 22 November sowing at Utrillo cv.
