Abstract :
The aims of the study were to determine some yield and quality parameters of two populations (102 and 3802) belonging to Achillea collina Becker ex Rchb. originated from Bulgaria under Bornova ecological conditions and selecting genotypes which have high yield and quality. For these purposes two years field experiment was conducted during 2008-2009 and 2009-2010. Plant height (cm), green herbage yield (g/plant), drug herbage yield (g/plant), drug flos yield (g/plant) and essential oil content of populations were determined. As a result of two years experiment with Achillea collina (102), minimum and maximum drug flos yield were 1.4 g/plant and 196.4 g/plant respectively. Essential oil content ranged between 0.0-0.825 %. Minimum and maximum drug flos yield of Achillea collina (3802) were 2.4 g/plant and 212.4 g/plant respectively and essential oil content ranged between 0.0-0.85 %.
