Abstract :
this study aimed to determine insecticides residue levels used for control of Mediterrean Fruit Fly [Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann) (Diptera: Tephritidae)] in satsuma mandarins in İzmir and pomegranates in Antalya. All samples were extracted according to QuEChERS EN 15662 method and analyzed with LC/MSMS and GC/MSMS. Active ingredients of malathion, spinosad, tau-fluvalinate, esfenvalerate and deltamethrin were detected above detection limits (0.005 mg/kg) in residue analysis. According to satsuma sample analysis results, malathion residue values were above the maximum residue limits in four samples in 2013 and seven samples in 2014. According to 2014 data tau-fluvalinate, esfenvalerate, and deltamethrin used in satsuma had no official regisration for Mediterranean Fruit Fly. Similarly, none of the insecticides except for deltamethrin used in pomegranates were registereed against the Mediterranean Fruit Fly.
