A Jurist from Turkey on Durkheim s Sociology: Hüseyin Nail Kubali and Lessons on Sociology
Abstract :
The aim of this work is to display the story of Hilseyin Nail Kubah s attempt to putting out for the first time Lecons de Sociologie/Lessons on Sociology by Emile Durkheim, which involves his unpublished courses till now. At the beginning period of sociological studies in Turkey the perspectives and the works of French intellectual Durkheim had played an important role and had created a large discussion field. Hence, it is cardinal to denominate that how a jurist from Turkey, H. Nail Kuball attempted to revive a cult figure of sociological thought; Durkheim, in the literature of world sociology through gathering his unpublished manuscripts and which factors affected this process.
