Abstract :
Mediastinal liposarcomas comprise less than 1% of all of the mediastinal tumors. They are generally located in the posterior mediastinum and seen in young age population. Tumors make peak in the fifth decade. A mass of nine cm diameter is found in middle-posterior mediastinum of 39 years old patient with hoarseness. The mass is diagnosed as liposarcoma in biopsy and excised surgically. The tumor is recurred in early period and chemotherapy is administered. The follow up in these tumors, for which the surgical excision is the first treatment choice, is very important because of the early recurrences. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy must be added to treatment in required cases.
