Attitudes of Music Teacher Candidates Towards School Experience II
Abstract :
The ultimate aim of this study is to determine the attitudes of teacher candidates, who participated in School Experience II application in Music Education Departments of Faculties of Education, towards this course. It was also investigated in the study whether the scores obtained from the “School Experience II Course Attitude Scale” differ significantly according to several variables. The research was carried out on those students (N=35) who participated in the Music Teaching School Experience II application at Marmara University Ataturk Faculty of Education in the Academic Year 2007-2008. The research data have been collected by using the “Personal Information Form” prepared by the researcher and the “School Experience II Attitude Scale” prepared to find out teacher candidates’ opinions on the “School Experience II Course”. The collected data have been analyzed by employing percentage frequency, Kruskal Wallis and Mann W. U tests through SPSS software. It was determined after the research that there exist significant differences between students’ attitude levels towards the “School Experience II” course and several variables (p .05).
