FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS OF ECONOMIC CRISIS IN THE UNITED STATES AND IN EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES: CAUSES AND EFFECTS

In the early 2000s, the intense interest in real estate investments in the USA caused an enormous increase in mortgage loans. This increase resulted in an economic crisis together with unstable short term growth and the crisis has become global. In this article, we evaluate the effects of economic crisis on economic growth, unemployment rate, inflation rate, public debt development and budget balance in the US. In addition to real estate crisis in USA, we have tried to examine structural economic problems of European Union Countries and their economic effects. We have analyzed depth of the economic crisis through economic indicators. We concluded that although global crisis adversely affects countries, structural problems of countries have great impact on creating their own economic crises. In sum, it is critically important to make and effectively implement structural reforms.
