DISPOSITIONS OF SUICIDE BETWEEN THE 1999-2009 YEARS IN THE LARGE CITIES OF TURKEY
Abstract :
This study aims at investigating the suicide dispotisions of the large cities of Turkey between the years 1999-2009. These investigations are conducted after the founding of distinctiverisky provinces with a high dispositions of suicide, in reference to the reasons of suicide in these provinces. The action of suicide with increased rates in metropoles reflect the signs of social disaster enacted by rapid social transformations. The suicide actions in urban scale are constructed according to a method of investigation in line with the relational and wholistic logic of social reality. In the last years of 1999-2009 time series, Adana and Gaziantep provinces represent the distinctive and risky profiles of suicide. Moreover the commercial failures, economic insufficiencies, and the re-emergence of suicides caused by ilness signify the economic crisis as the social catalyst triggering the magnitude of suicide dispositions.
