THE ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT IN THE PROCESS OF CRISIS IN LODGING ENTERPRISES
Abstract :
Crisis is a concept which threats the targets and existence of the lodging enterprises, distresses both managers and employees, has a multiple interests and complex structure. To this end; the methods must be demonstrated for preventing potential crisis, surviving with a minimum loss from potential threats and dangers during crisis period and in addition, transforming the developments during crisis environment to opportunities. The lodging enterprises in tourism industry which have a high sensitivity to crisis are opened to various influences due to their products’ characteristics they offer. In this study, the crises are discussed in respect of enterprises and exhibit the types of potential or ongoing crisis in hospitability enterprise, reasons and results of tourism, the affection level of enterprises, management approaches to the concept of crisis and solution strategies.
