THE OPERATING CHARACTERISTIC CURVE AND A CASE STUDY
Abstract :
Statistical quality control chart is used to determine whether a production process is under controlor not. Characteristic of process can vary due to effects of coincidental and specific reasons. A control chart does not show if the occurrence probability of measured values is between upper and lower boundaries. An Operating Characteristic Curve is generated in order to makeup this deficiency of control graphic and its sensitivenessa gainst variability. Generating an Operating Characteristic Curve became important because it shows how a control graphic works under changing process conditions. In this paper, a case studyusing Operating Characteristic Curve was conducted in a fiber board fabric in Isparta.
