Abstract :
Care of elderly, children and disadvantaged people, practice for women and their families’ social service agencies fulfills an important task in society. Therefore social works are becoming develop and increasingly important working area for employment. In this study, we focused on a career practice in social work. Although there is various working area in social work, in contrast to private sector organizations in public organizations career practice such as promotions and transfers are determined by regulations. Success and competence rather than seniority stands out in career practices. Also it is seen that social workers encounter with burnout and glass ceiling problem in their career.
