Abstract :
Studies conducting in the area of engineering provides important services to the every phase of social life. Until just before 300 years, human beings had used windmills and vortex wheels in order to run machines and they had travelled on foot in the land , used sailing boats in the seas. Today in the public use, engineering offers many services like providing drinking water, electric, patrol. Scientists and engineers educated themselves in the fields of mathematics and natural sciences. Scientists use knowledge in order to gain new information while engineers use them in order to design new structures that will satisfy the needs of the society. In other words, scientists aims to know while engineer aim to make. This paper aims to find out the importance and the historical development of engineering.
