Abstract :
New media has become more popular as a result of integration of internet technologies into our social life. It is claimed that new media has a transforming effect on generations despite the new media development status of that country. Changes taking place in media, entertainment, communication, education, finance, and transportation sectors may be showing us that we are now transforming to a new social structure and at the same time having a new generation. This new generation is called network generation and it can carry on real life relationships onto virtual medium. So we can say that this new generation can keep in touch with their friends by using new tools which allows the continuation of communication. In this paper we investigated this new generation whose perspectives, manners, privacy and priorities have changed and their mobile devices usage in Turkey. This paper also made a research through this generation’s mobile device usage and discussed the results with statistical analysis.
