Abstract :
Alevism is affected by the Jaafarism (Shiism) which is one of the religious groups in the Islamic history. However, when we compare Alevism and Jaafarism with regard to belief, worship, and manners-rules and social life helping the sociological studies, historical documents, and some of Alevi writers’ ideas, we will see that some of the Jaafari belief concepts are symbolized as a surface within Alevism. Hanafi – Maturidi school influences Alevism rather than Jaafarism with experience of the region and culture in practices and the impression of Jaafarism is almost never observed on the concepts of Alevi manners and rules of conduct and social life. Finally, there are some common points, symbols and concepts between Alevism and Jaafarism, but theological, philosophical and sociological backgrounds of these points, symbols and concepts are sometimes very weak, sometimes nonexistent, and often mystical in nature.
