Educational aspects of comic Bektashi anecdotes and their importance in terms of value education

Comic anecdotes should direct people to think beside entertaining and amusing. It can be seen that comic Bektashi anecdotes,bearing the stamp of belief and thought structure of Haci Bektash Veli,have purposed of teaching some values as well as reflecting negative manner of its term with a critical view. It is not possible to determine whether the Bektashi actually lived the events. Turkish people recognize that the model at comic Bektashi anecdotes play various roles and characters in order to get attraction and the main aim within this is to make people conscious about some matters. Comic anecdotes of Bektashi point out important values by humor and provide lessoning of people. There is educating in the essence of these comic anecdotes. Comic anecdotes of Bektashi telling problems during last terms of Ottoman Empire,reasons of recession and collapsing focus on people s lessoning from history. Also,significant human values like honesty and sincerity were stressed. Within this study,whether the comic anecdotes of Bektashi can be used for values education or not has been investigated. These comic anecdotes reflect Turkish culture,history and social life. There are many comic anecdotes of Bektashi that draw children s attention. So,these anecdotes can be used to teach various values,Turkish Culture,history and social life. This article includes a sample of comic anecdotes of Bektashi that can be used for values education. Also,it is emphasized that these comic anecdotes can be used at values education for social studies.
