Abstract :
Poets have always produced original and esthetical works while forming their poetry. Elifnâmes written in various topics and in the forms inspired by the array of Arabic letters take place in both Divan and Folk Literatures. Religious and Sufi themes are usually included in Elifnâmes. It is still controversial that whether Elifnâmes are called a type or a form. Moreover, poems named as düvazdeh , düvaz imam or düvazname which tell about the Twelve Imams are commonly included in Alevi-Bektashi literature. As an intriguing example,Duvaznâme of Şah Hatâî,who is considered as one of the prominent seven poets of Alevi society,is written as an Elifnâme and tells about the Twelve Imams. Heroes remain in minds with their symbols. Usually these symbols are heroes horses or arms. Heroes are identified with these symbols which become prominent in their development process. In this context,Saint Ali s horse,Düldül and his sword,Zülfikar are the identifiers of his heroic existence in the texts in which they take place together. In our study, there will be an outline of Elifnâme with the original transcribed text. Also we will discuss the chorus lâ fetâ illâ Ali in the context of the meaning it reminds by paying attention to the uses of Hz. Ali s name with his sword Zülfikar.
