Abstract :
In the 11th century,an intensive Turkish migration towards Anatolia began with the opening of door of Anatolia for Turks. Various dervish communities devoted to Khorasan Sufism discipline also headed for Anatolia during the migration. These dervish communities,reflector of Ahmet Yesevi tradition,enabled a powerful and effective Turkish settlement especially after the 13th century. These individuals called as colonizer Turkish dervishes by Ömer Lütfi Barkan,had Sufi identities and were titled as sheik,dada,and dervish. They served as social-religion leader in Anatolian settlement of the Turkmen. According to the records in Menakib,the Haji Bektash Veli sent one of his followers,Sari Ismail,to Tavas District in Menteşe. In Alevi-Bektashi anecdotes,Sari Ismail Sultan was one of the effective representatives of Alevi-Bektashi culture and mythical narratives mention about him with respect. Sari Ismail Sultan significantly contributed to the process of Turkization of Anatolia in Tavas,Denizli. His tomb is in Tekke village in the Tavas District of Denizli. The tomn is visited by Alevi-Bektashi community with great dignity. Besides,there is a live Alevi-Bektashi culture field dating back to old times with Mustafa Dada and Yaren Ali Dada Tombs in Tekke Village. In the conducted study,Bektashi culture and reflections of this culture from past to present in Tekke Village are discussed in socio-anthropological manner. In the study,especially sacred persons,places,trees,mountain,forests and female cult have been examined. This study is a qualitative study. During the research process,participant observation technique was employed in social anthropological manner on aforementioned places for different dates. In addition,with a view to apply better assessment,not only interview technique is used,but also narratives used in interviews are supported by documents regarding these subjects. During the research process,30 separate meetings were conducted. This applied study lasted a total of two years due to necessity to consider certain special occasions and ceremonies. The findings obtained from these interviews were tried to be interpreted with theoretical information support.
