Modeling of Water Level Changing of Burdur Lake with Fuzzy Logic and Linear Regression Analysis
Abstract :
In this study, a model was developed fuzzy logic method in order to estimate Burdur lake water level fluctuations. In addition, the multiple linear regression analysis with known methods created in the model equation. As independent variables, precipitation and evaporation, was used as the dependent variable in the Burdur lake water level changes. Data used in the observation stations in and around Lake Burdur-year average for the years 1975-2004 contains data. The developed fuzzy logic model created with the regression equation to predict the reliability of the models was tested by comparing the values with data from observation stations. Accordingly, although a high relationship was determined between the measurement data and the method of Fuzzy Logic such as R2 = 0.89, the relatively low correlation was determined between the measurement data and the results of multiple linear regression analysis such as R2 = 0.70.
