The Determination of Mast Cell Density with Different Fixatives in the Esophagus of the Goose (Anser anser)
Abstract :
This study was carried out to determine of the mast cells densities with different fixatives (Bouin, Carnoy, 10% formaldehyde, alcoholic formaldehyde, neutral formalin and isotonic acetic acid) in the esophagus of the geese. Toluidine Blue O staining method was applied for determination of mast cell. Mast cells in the lamina propria and glands around the blood vessels that were found to be more intense. There were numerous and less number of mast cells in the esophagus tissue which were fixed in Bouin and 10%formaldehyde solutions respectively.
