An Investigation on Structural Hazards Formed on Ali Fuat Pasha (or Bayezid II) Bridge in Sakarya Province

In this study, Ali Fuat Pasha (or Bayezid the second) Bridge, which was built over the River Sakarya in the city of Geyve-Sakarya by Bayezid in 1495, has been examined. The bridge had witnessed many historical events since it was built and it had been repaired many times. During the process of all these repairs, both the state of its demolished pieces having been rebuilt and the state of its piece having been rebuilt with small repairs according to its original condition, has been important for the continuity of its survival. According to the observations which have been acquired during the examination, the bridges which have a big importance in terms of cultural and historical existence are tried to be protected with every single attempt. In the content of this study, the recorded historical stone bridge with name of Ali Fuat Pasha Bridge in our cultural heritage which has been examined by means of photos, and the charts of detection have been formed by doing the measurements upon the elements of bridges. The Bridge has stated to be examined with these charts.
