Evaluation Of Taxes As A Political Tool Concern In Sruggle With Obesity
Abstract :
Recently, obesity as an common public, is increasing in almost every country. From now on obesity is not only an illness but also an economic phenomenon. Governments are in the need of dealing with this problem. In this respect, interventions are required for obesity problem. In order to effectively deal with the obesity problem, it is of great importance to describe the problem and its reasons in detail and to identify and measure the negative consequences. Fiscal intermediaries of interventions have great significance because of their effects through diminishing food consumption. Aforementioned fiscal intermediaries may vary in different countries due to socioeconomic reasons such as income distribution differences, consumption habits, urbanization, technology usage rate differences, etc. This study explains increasing obesity problem and current fiscal solutions developed for the obesity problem
