Abstract :
The history of Turkish revolution and Kemalism lesson tell the renewal process of Turkey after the independence struggle of Turkey, life of Atatürk and successful accomplishment of the struggle. The contents of the lesson explain these subjects, which also tries to earn the students different qualities. In the lesson, different educational methods are also required to teach the values which allow them to lead an honourable life by making their lives meaningful. The history of Turkish revolution and Kemalism lesson contains a total of 11 values tended to earn the students. The aim of this study is determine the proverbs, idioms and visual elements to teach some of these eleven values aimed to earn the students. The history of Turkish revolution and Kemalism lesson has the values such as responsibility, patriotism, cooperation, freedom, independence, self-confidence, modernisation, peace, respect for the great Turks and sensibility. Of these values, responsibility, cooperation, patriotism, diligence and respect for the great Turks were randomly selected. The study examined what proverbs, idioms and visual elements could be used in the education of these values
