Abstract :
AIM: The primarily goal is to work for a first time as a panel and that are related with the development of inflammatory bowel disease derived from the adipose tissue and inflammatory markers in type 2 diabetes patients. Also we plan to contribute to the development of diagnosis methods for the type 2 diabetes by using the datas obtained from leptin, ghrelin, resistin, EGF and TNF-α markers MATERIAL METHOD: Samples used in this study were collected from volunteered patients by taking blood in dry tubes and after cooling centrifuge at 3000 rpm for 5 minutes aliquoted as serum. From the aliquoted serums LEPTIN, GREHLIN, RESISTIN, EGF and TNF-α ELISA’s were performed by appropriate methods. FINDINGS: The obtained data were statistically determined by the SPSS-8 package program. The results of Shapiro Wilk tests were examined in groups for Leptin, Ghrelin and EGF due to the number of subject was 50. The data do not show a normal distribution because of P 0.05. The reuslts of Ghrelin was evaluated with Mann-Whitney U test. The data in control group shows normal distribution. (p:0.544) Non-parametric Mann- Whitney U test was used due to the data did not Show a normal distribution. The reuslts of EGF was evaluated with Mann- Whitney U test. A high scorer relationship was obtained like p=0.0001 for TNF-α. Significant results were recorded in the Mann-Whitney U test for leptin as p = 0.001. The serum levesl of Resistin were also determined with Mann-Whitney U test p=0.003 due to smiliar reasons. RESULTS: It has been shown that a multipotent protein EGF which is inducing epitelial development, angiogenesis and gastric acid secretion play an important role in renewal of β cells and increase numbers. The increase in the number of β cells leads to an increase in blood insulin release and the effect of diabetes is shown. According to the EGF data, the patient serum levels were higher than the control groups and a remarkable difference / significance was observed. The obtained results regarding TNF-α will provide better understanding of relationship between thecytokine / diabetes with other studies.
