A rare cardiac tumor: Biatrial myxoma

A child aged 12 years old with palpitation, short of breath and fever for six months was admitted to our pediatric emergency department. Echocardiography was applied to the patient whom hospitalized with prior diagnosis of the urinary tract infection, due to the 3/6 cardiac murmur. Biatrial masses were found, bigger on the right atrium and smaller on the left atrium, to attach the septum with the same pedicule. Both masses with the pedicule were removed through defect following right atriotomy. The patient was discharged on postoperatif fifth days with health.
